The "Tynd" is a completely new slim wallet crafted by the canvas workshop "SOLAHANPU". It employs canvas, the very foundation of the workshop, and is deliberately finished with fabric rather than leather for a gentle appearance.It incorporates numerous unique functionalities, aiming to be "a wallet that's easy to use and playful." It uses wax-coated canvas, which has been treated to further enhance its water resistance. Tynd means "thin" in Danish, and CV is short for Canvas.
Through careful material and design choices, we achieved a slim 8mm profile without sacrificing capacity. The wallet's interior uses thin yet resilient goat leather. At just 0.5mm thick, goat leather is crucial for maintaining the wallet's slimness.
The design prevents card and coin compartments from overlapping, ensuring the wallet doesn't bulk up even when filled with coins and cards. It offers ample capacity for daily use—holding about 8 cards and 15 coins—without compromising storage.
Even with the rise of electronic payments, coins still have their uses. We devised a mechanism for smooth, intuitive coin access. We call this the "Bending Open System" – a hinged opening system that embodies the intuitive "bend to open" action.
To retrieve coins, simply bend the coin compartment slightly. To store coins, just return the compartment to its original position. It's made with just the right stiffness for easy opening and closing.
The card pocket can hold up to 8 cards. A slit on the side of the pocket allows for easy card retrieval. When carrying fewer cards, a flap can be placed over them to prevent slipping.
Two "Hidden Pockets 2.0" for keys
Keeping important items like keys together with your wallet is smart. The "Tynd" CV features two "Hidden Pockets" located behind the bill compartment. Each pocket can hold two keys
. Using both pockets allows the "Tynd" CV to store up to four keys. Furthermore, the key space and small item space are separate pockets, preventing keys and small items from mixing.
