Goat leather and cowhide (canvas). The reason why the 6mm-thin Tenuis wallet deliberately combines different materials.

"A thin wallet will fall apart quickly." We often hear such concerns. However, even though Tenuis is thin, it does not compromise on strength.

Durable tanned Italian leather
This leather is used on the exterior of the wallet and is the face of the wallet. Tannin tanning gives it a high fiber density and also contains a lot of oil, making it a beautiful leather that is smooth and flexible.

Waxed canvas, made using yacht sail technology
Canvas is the origin of Sora Canvas. The Tenuis canvas version uses ultra-thin canvas that has been paraffin-treated. Natural cotton canvas is a durable material, and the addition of wax tightens the fibers, making it even more resistant to friction, creating a wallet look that rivals leather.

Tear-resistant goat leather
The interior is made of goat leather, which has a higher fiber density than cowhide and maintains its strength even when thinned. The twin card slots are designed to maximize the strength, flexibility, and elasticity of goat leather, stretching just enough for each card inserted. Even though the material is only 0.5mm thick, it's so strong that even an adult who tries to tear it will be unable to tear it (unless they tear from an existing tear).

The challenge of "thinness" by artisans
Rather than simply layering materials, we deliberately sew high-quality stitches from the inside to ensure there is no waste in the gusset, and we make fine adjustments down to the nearest tenth of a millimeter so that usability and functionality are not affected. This meticulous calculation has resulted in a "tough, slim wallet" that can be used for many years.
