Through designing slim wallets, I've experimented with several materials, including Tyvek and plastic sheets, while considering the balance between leather thickness and strength. While many wallets use cowhide, current Tenuis and Tynd wallets use goatskin for the interior.

At first glance, it may seem thin and flimsy, but in reality, goatskin has a very high fiber density, making it resistant to tearing even when thinned, and it is also highly elastic. This allows us to keep the overall thickness of the wallet down while maintaining the toughness required for everyday heavy use.
If this were ordinary cowhide, shaving it down to the same thickness would not only compromise its strength but also prevent it from developing the elasticity needed to support special features like the twin card slots. There are rational reasons why we chose this goatskin.
