In product design, experimenting with new materials carries risks. The use of Tyvek in the Tenuis1 was quite unusual in the slim wallet industry. The subsequent use of plastic materials in the second generation was also an experiment that symbolized minimalism.

However, tools only gain value when they are used. Tyvek is a very thin, tear-resistant, paper-like material, but with use, it develops many wrinkles and creases. Plastic materials are hard and durable, but they don't feel very comfortable to the touch and don't conform well to the hand when used for extended periods.
The reason we chose goatskin leather for the interior of the current Tenuis 3rd and 4th generation models, as well as the Tynd, is mainly for the following reasons:
- It's thin, but its strength doesn't decrease.
- It has high tear strength and tensile strength.
- It is flexible and stretchable.
- A pleasant texture that fits comfortably in the hand.
We've moved beyond simply pursuing the "thin" specification and now prioritize a comfortable, everyday user experience that is "thin, fits well in the hand, and is easy to use." The changes in materials also reflect our efforts to address the dissatisfaction our users have experienced with "difficulty of use."
