The Tenuis BG is the fourth generation of our classic slim wallet design . It's been a long time since the previous model, the Tenuis TL (formerly the Tenuis 3 Leather TL), and this new model is finally here. While the number of slim and compact wallets has increased recently, there are still many situations where a wallet with a unique design requires some getting used to. The Tenuis BG inherits the ever-popular twin card slots from its predecessor, while the newly added twin coin pockets make it even thinner and easier to use. Unlike previous models that use cowhide and goat leather, this model is entirely made of cowhide, a new design for SOLAHANPU .

Finished entirely with premium cowhide for a high-quality feel and durability
This bag is made from Bulgaro leather, a high-quality leather with a smooth, fine grain , from the long-established Italian tannery, Lo Stivale . The surface is slightly matte at first, but with use, the oil that has permeated the leather will develop a glossy finish.

While most previous SOLAHANPU wallets have combined canvas, cowhide, and goat leather on the exterior and interior, this new wallet is crafted entirely from vegetable-tanned cowhide using the Italian Vacchetta oil method . The outer layer is slightly thicker to allow for a more natural feel, while the interior is thinner for durability and suppleness. The materials are also thinned to match the role of each section. The edges (the edges of the leather), a feature unique to genuine leather, are also beautifully finished. Tenuis means "thin" in Latin. BG is an abbreviation of the leather name Bulgaro.

The impetus for development
SOLAHANPU is a brand born from overseas travel experiences. This wallet is the result of applying that minimalist concept to everyday wallets, pursuing a thin, light, and compact wallet for ease of use. Wallets can quickly become bulky and difficult to pack down. The Tenuis BG is designed to fit neatly into each compartment, even when filled with items, while remaining just as easy to use as a regular wallet. While the rise of electronic and card payments has reduced the need to carry cash, coins still remain a necessity. We believe we are in a transitional era in payment methods, and the Tenuis BG is designed to allow you to choose whether to use it as a coin holder or a small accessory case . The size of Tenuis BG
It is approximately 90 mm wide, 112 mm high, and 8 mm thick (when not in use), roughly the size of two cards lined up , and you can feel its thinness when holding it .

Twin card slots for even thickness distribution
The twin card slots split the card space into two areas , providing ample storage for 8 cards ( 4 cards x 2 slots = 8 cards). This structure has been carried over from the Tenuis3 era and is an important element in designing a slim wallet. The layout allows cards to fit perfectly within the wallet's contours when inserted into each slot. While the current goat leather version is stretchy, cards can fit into these slots even when they're flat, this new model uses a slightly thicker leather, resulting in a three-dimensional design that's difficult to engineer .

The two- tiered twin coin pocket allows for versatile use.
The coin pocket, separated into upper and lower sections , distributes the thickness, allowing you to manage coins in two places . When you don't need coins, you can store keys, tickets, receipts, etc. in the pocket. The third-generation Tenuis wallet used a thin zipper, which contributed to the overall slimness of the wallet. However, no matter how thin the wallet, the zipper slider itself still added some thickness, so we have developed a new design. The new wallet does not require a zipper; a thin flap that fits over the pocket closes securely, yet is very easy to open and close.

Conventional, wide-opening bill compartment for easy access
This is a bill compartment that you can put bills in just like a traditional wallet . The thin, compact wallets that have become more common in recent years often have slightly unusual storage methods or bills that are completely visible to those around you due to their structure. The Tenuis BG 's card pockets, coin pockets, and bill compartment are both smooth and easy to use, so you won't need to get used to them.

Design
As some of you may have already noticed, both the card slots and coin pocket take up the full surface area of the wallet, with storage extending right up to the very edges . Furthermore, the gusset expands to provide ample storage space. This is made possible by a special design where the seams on the edges do not restrict the storage area. A large storage area means the contents are evenly distributed, allowing the wallet to remain slim.

Usage features
It fits comfortably in your pocket or bag and is easy to carry, making it perfect for everyday use. It has two coin pockets , one for coins and the other for keys or tickets, or both for other items like tickets or small items.

Regarding the hidden pocket that was used in the previous goat leather version
This model uses a slightly thicker material than the goat leather used in the previous model, so adding a hidden pocket would have added unnecessary thickness, so we decided not to use it. Small items can also be stored in either of the twin coin pockets. The "cow + goat leather version" and the "full cow leather version" are not superior or inferior, but rather are simply different in terms of direction, so we hope you will choose the version that best suits your needs and preferences.
