Tenuis is a minimalist, slim wallet born from designer Sola's travel experiences. Rather than simply thinning the material, it achieves a structural solution that prevents bulging even when filled, thanks to its unique "Twin Card Slots" and "Coin Divider." Its design, adjusted down to the millimeter, represents the culmination of expertise cultivated through years of developing canvas products.
The Tenuis series has garnered over ¥100 million in cumulative funding through crowdfunding platforms (CAMPFIRE, Kibidango, etc.). It also received the **"2025 Omotenashi Selection Gold Award"**, given to outstanding Japanese products. Based on feedback from thousands of supporters, it continues to evolve into its 4th generation.
The surface features premium cowhide tanned using the traditional Italian "Bacchetta Oil Method." Its fine, unique texture develops a beautiful luster with use.The interior uses 0.5mm "goat leather," combining thinness with toughness. By fully leveraging the material's properties, it achieves both durability and slimness. As thin as a smartphone
, the body won't bulge in tight jeans pockets or jacket inner pockets. Weighing just 50g, it offers a smart daily experience where you might even forget you're carrying a wallet.

Selectable leather types: We've selected several distinctive leathers from Italian tanned oil-tanned leather.
・Toscano: Smooth / Light sheen with a smooth surface (our classic)
・Elbamatt: Smooth with less sheen / Less glossy with a
supple texture Both types will develop a patina over time.
・Bulgaro: Stronger sheen and firmer texture than the above two types
Card Slots: Two slots, each holding 4 cards, for a total of 8 cards. Inserting several cards may feel tight initially, but the goat leather's stretch properties allow it to stretch and conform. Distributing the 4-card slots across two locations achieves a slim profile. Coin
Divider: The coin pocket features a divider, preventing coins from shifting to one side and helping keep the entire wallet as thin and flat as possible.
Hidden Pockets: The Tenuis, Third Generation features two hidden pockets for storing valuables. These are ideal for important cards, contactless transit cards, and more. Additionally, there are four dedicated slots for keys.
Here are some customer reviews!
Atsushi-san
: The card layout is well thought out and it's really thin. It holds a decent amount of coins too.
mk23
: Love at first sight. At first glance, it looks like a standard bifold wallet, but the size has been reduced to the absolute minimum, making it compact and easy to use.
REI
: Fits in a woman's skirt pocket and functions just like a regular wallet (no need to fold bills awkwardly, no limit on coin quantity, etc.).
Tenuis
: I've been using it constantly ever since backing the Tenuis TL on Campfire. Personally, I'd been searching forever for a wallet that fits thinly in my front pants pocket, so this was a fantastic find. Even with cashless payments becoming mainstream, you still need cards, bills, coins, multiple keys, etc. No matter how minimalist you aim to be, carrying the bare essentials without inconvenience still adds up to a certain volume. While exploring options, I've tried several other thin, small minimalist wallets with high hopes, but they all ended up being inconvenient in some way or required compromises. Ultimately, the Tenuis TL remains my only choice. I can't help but wonder how I'd manage without it now—it's such an amazing product. I'm truly grateful to have found it.
MT-san
, I truly believe this is the pinnacle of thin wallets. I've tried several compact wallets, but they either lacked card slots or ended up bulky. Pants pockets are tall and narrow, so many items don't fit neatly side-by-side due to awkward widths. You end up stacking them, so a thinner wallet fits better
. This is especially true since switching from a flip phone to a smartphone. I can't imagine using any other wallet in my pocket now. As I'll mention later, the twin card slots, coin pocket divider, and hidden pocket are incredibly convenient and great. It's thin yet highly functional—I love it and will definitely use it for a long time. As a side note, I also like that the inside and outside have different colors. If the goat leather had less sheen, it would be even more perfect (lol).
I tried several
other slim wallets, but Tenuis struck the perfect balance of being "thin yet easy to use." Its simple design goes with any outfit, making it my daily companion.
