For over 10 years since establishing our brand, our minimalist products have been overwhelmingly supported by male customers (men's wallets). The comfort of a slim wallet that fits neatly into a pants pocket, and its functional beauty without excess. We have consistently developed products with a strong awareness of the "minimalist man who wants to move lightly" lifestyle.
However, over the past two to three years, the number of female customers has been increasing.
We have not yet begun developing specialized compact wallets with "designs and colors for women." So why is SOLAHANPU, which was originally intended for men, currently being chosen by women? There are several reasons below.
1. The perspective of "a slim, compact men's wallet for a loved one"
Firstly, it is chosen as a gift for men. An increasing number of people are discovering our slim wallets and compact wallets through online searches and social media as gifts for their husbands or boyfriends.
2. "Overseas travel," the moment one most desires to be light and minimalist
Secondly, there is demand for it as a travel companion (travel wallet). Women who are planning overseas trips, or couples, sometimes purchase them simultaneously as "wallets for overseas travel."
3. Support from "active female customers" overseas, primarily from Asian routes
Another factor is the rapid increase in "overseas female customers," not just within Japan. Especially in Asian regions including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore, there are a greater number of female purchasers.
After research, we found that many of these women are active, sporty, and have a high level of initiative, often embarking on solo international trips. They also tend to prefer functional, streamlined, and minimalist styles for their fashion and everyday belongings.
Compact wallets that support "people who live lightly and actively"
SOLAHANPU products were originally created with the philosophy of assisting "people who act actively." However, we are now considering color variations specifically for women in the future.
