One unexpected obstacle when designing a thin wallet is the thickness of the zipper slider (pull tab). Even if you put less inside, if the metal part itself is thick, it can leave marks on your pants when you put it in your pocket, or the shape of the metal part can show through on the surface of the wallet.
The slim YKK wallet slider used in the third generation Tenuis has fewer protruding parts and a flatter shape compared to typical sliders.
These few millimeters of difference are key to preventing your wallet from becoming overflowing with receipts and cards, and maintaining its overall aesthetically pleasing silhouette. It may seem like a small part, but it's an important component for making your wallet "thin yet highly functional."
