The history of the Tenuis3 Leather TL: Differences between then and now.

Looking back at the introductory video for the "Tenuis3 Leather TL" that we released in 2021, I vividly recall the design philosophy at the time.

At the time, it was given the name "TL" (derived from the leather name Toscano Liscio), and it was the first all-leather version to be released. The one shown in the video is an early model that first incorporated the "thinness" technology cultivated in the canvas version into an all-leather design.

The specifications at the time and subsequent fine-tuning

While there aren't major differences between the current model and the original, after launching the original model, we made minor adjustments to its storage capacity, such as slightly increasing the capacity, taking into account how the leather stretches and conforms to the body.

Where do we strike the right balance between "pursuing numerical values" and "usability as an everyday tool"? The products featured in the video are a record of the time when we were searching for that answer.

Changes in name and structure

Although the TL designation is no longer used, its underlying design principles were carried over to the third and fourth generations of Tenuis processors.

  • Leather selection: Based on the textures visible in the video, we have now added other leather models such as Elbamatt and Bulgaro.
  • Internal structure: The placement of the hidden pockets and the overall appearance remain unchanged, but minor adjustments have been made since the time of this video, such as extending the leather around the card slots by a few millimeters.

Looking back at past products is not just about reminiscing; it's also about confirming the "reasons" why our current products took the form they did. Our conversations with people who became interested after watching videos from that time form the foundation of our current designs.
